Here you can see the remainders of the Injectors which we have extracted from a Vauxhall Vivaro. This is a common problem on these engines, and we are seeing increasing numbers of vehicles suffering from this problem.
Injector no 1 had snapped off at an unusual position again, however with specialist equipment we have been able to extract even this injector which was very seized in.
Injector no 2 Snapped off at a reasonable place, a lot of other garages won’t undertake this work as it can sometimes leave the cap in, which is not easily extracted. Therefore we had to mill this out.
Injector no 3 Brought to us in this state with the top threads gone, we was still able to extract this.
Injector no 4 was how the injector should be removed if all goes well extracting, however you can see that the corrosion is severe.
