Spray patterns can be distorted and alter due to varnishing and contaminates from the engine side of the injector sticking to the injector pintle, this is essentially obstructing the path of the fuel that is being injected. This can lead to reduced performance, poor fuel economy, poor idling, engine hesitation and increased engine wear. ( Please see picture below)

Clogged injectors or dirty injectors can be disastrous for engines, particularly those which make use of turbos and superchargers with forced induction, as the demand for fuel can exceed the supply, and can also lead to the following;
- Increased fuel consumption
- Lumpy and erratic idling
- Poor cold starting
- Engine pinking
- Ignition misfire
- High exhaust emission content
- Engine hesitation
- Acceleration flat spots
- Reduced horsepower
Benefits of having injectors tested and serviced;
- Improved and smoother acceleration by removing the internal contaminants that enter and stick to the operating surfaces of your fuel injectors.
- Improved fuel economy
- Improved peak horsepower
- Benefits cars which idle poorly
- Reduces engine pinking
- Reduces harmful emissions
- Reduces engine hesitation
- Reduces engine wear and tear
- Saves you money by prolonging the life of your injectors, reducing the likelihood of expensive repair bills
We recommend that injectors are tested and cleaned at roughly 50,000m intervals to ensure optimum performance on your well maintained car.
